Santorini Volcano GPS vectors
Animation of the displacement field from
19 campaign and 3 continuous GPS as observed by early September, 2011.
Deformation is relatively well described by a single inflation source
about 2 km north of Nea Kameni at approximately 4 km depth.
Volumetric growth is ~106 m3.
Though ongoing deformation rates are changing,
it is not apparent that the source is becoming more shallow.
