Stream Viewing Options
Selecting Stream Viewing Options
A number of options are available for the user to customise the display of the stream information to suit their needs. The user can
- View a list of Stream IDs, or complete Details (View|List or View|Details)
- View or hide the Status bar (View|Status Bar)
- Choose the sort order of the Stream IDs (View|Sort By...)
The sort order can be used to facilitate easy selection of groups of streams for dragging to a WaveView window, or as selection for recording.
The Sorting options are:
- Alphabetical
Strict Alphabetical order, A before B, before C, etc.
- Component
Firstly, all the ‘Z’ components, then ‘N’, then ‘E’, finally ‘M’. The instrument ID is used as the secondary criterion for sorting. E.g. 1234Z2 before 1235Z2 before 1234N2.
- Instrument
Firstly, the instrument ID, secondly the tap number, then component type. E.g. 1234Z2 before 1234N2 before 1234E2 before 1234M2 before any others.
- Sample Rate
Numerically, from highest sample rate to lowest. The secondary sort criteria is ‘Instrument’, as above.
- Tap
The primary sort order is by the second-last character of the stream ID, with the velocity channels listed first. Then sorted as “Instrument”, above.
In addition, the ‘Reversed’ option can be used to reverse the sort order of any of the above.
